Starting this next week on Monday, March 30 through April 3, Gallatin County CUSD 7 “Yellow Meals on Wheels” is going to make one delivery on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 11:00-12:00pm. There will be no buses on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Our bus drivers will be at the same stops in our towns and villages bringing you enough breakfast and lunch for two days. Tuesday and Thursday meals will be Heat and Eat style. Delivering every other day one time per day will allow our wonderful employees and our school families more social distancing in the coming weeks.

School meals will continue be delivered during our mandatory closing. Breakfast will be from 8:00 to 9:00 and lunch from 11:00 to 12:00. Meals will be dropped off in New Haven at the City Hall, in Equality at the fire station, Ridgway at the Catholic Church ( by the ballfields), Shawneetown on the mall, and Old Shawneetown at the City Hall. Any other students/families needing delivery, that are unable to make it to the above mentioned places, please call Pat Koester at the school bus garage at 272-7008 ext. 1287 a day in advance. Please continue to "grab and go!" Have a blessed week!
Today at 3 pm. the Governor shared that schools will be closed through April 7, 2020. As far as the shelter in place, schools will be seen as essential functions if we are providing meals to our communities. Gallatin CUSD 7 can and WILL continue meal service as we have been for the past week.
For any 8th - 11th grade student.
As of right now we are still planning to have our Pre-K Screenings on April 2nd and April 3rd. This year you need to bring a copy of a CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATE for the child that is being screened and INCOME VERIFICATION with you to the screening. This is to help us ensure we are meeting state guidelines.
Below is a list of acceptable items to complete income verification.
•Pay stubs (two most recent, consecutive)
•Proof of WIC benefit •Proof of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefit
•Proof of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) enrollment
•Proof of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit
•Proof the family receives Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
•Tax return (most recent)
•Wages and tax statement (most recent W-2) •Verification/letter from employer
•Proof that parent is enrolled in Medicaid (a medical card with the child’s name does not prove income eligibility). •Signed written statement from the family (provide form for families with no income). This is only an option when families have no income sources.
THANK YOU for your cooperation!
Students - just a reminder that tomorrow’s breakfast is an omelet and mixed fruit and lunch will be chicken tenders, celery sticks with dip and an apple. There is a shortage of milk packaged for schools, so there may or may not be milk with the meals. Let us know if you need anything, we are here for you!
