Tuesday- walking taco, salsa, shredded cheese, whole grain chips, strawberry applesauce and milk

Wednesday- hamburger on whole grain bun, cup of dill pickles, dragon punch/fruit vegetable drink box, milk and whole grain chips

Friday- sliced turkey & cheese on whole grain bun, lettuce salad with ranch dressing, cup of orange juice and milk
Each day we will be adding extra items such as cereal, fruit & grain bars etc.

The van for Ridgway will be at the St. Joe ball field around noon on Monday & Wednesday.

The Equality Fire Dept will pass out meals from their station around 11:30
Nell Rosser will pick up meals for Old Shawneetown by noon.
New Shawneetown meals will be available for pick up from 11:30-12:30 at the Ohio Valley General Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. If you need your meal delivered, please message us here or call/text Anita Golden at 618-525-4128.
*It’s important to keep this program going and in order to do that, please come participate and get a meal! We will gladly feed the adults as well.

Good Afternoon:
We are excited to announce that due to COVID 19 mass restriction changes we are now able to welcome more guest for the Jr. High Graduation. Each graduate will receive 20 tickets at graduation practice on Wednesday morning. All guest will need to show their ticket when entering the gym on Thursday night. No ticket is required for the graduate or students that are participating in the choir.
Mask will be required through the entire ceremony for all graduates and guests.
Iconik will be here to take photos of the graduates prior to graduation in the Jr. High gym and students will be allowed to remove their mask for these pictures. Picture order forms will go home with graduates at graduation practice on Wednesday.
If you would like to have a family picture taken with your graduate in front of the podium in the high school gym, we are allowing you to do so by appointment only, from 12:30-6:00 on Wednesday. Parents will not be allowed to come down onto the floor Thursday evening for photos.
This is a reminder to all virtual students that we will be collecting your school supplies tomorrow, Monday, May 17th from 2:30 until 3:30. Please bring your textbooks, workbooks, chromebooks/iPad, and chargers to the collection area located at the gym entrance under the awning. Thank you
Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, and Community,
We want to inform you we were notified by a parent and the Egyptian Health Department that a student has been positively diagnosed with COVID-19. The last time the student was in the building was Friday, May 14th. We must protect the privacy of the student(s) involved, and school nurses are making phone calls to parents and guardians of students identified as close contact. Once the Egyptian Health Department completes contact tracing, they will contact those in close contact with the student (within 6 feet of positive case for 15 minutes or more). As a precaution, and with only three and a half days of school remaining, one class will not return to the building this school year. The district will continue mitigation procedures and follow the CDC and IDPH guidelines as we finish up this school year. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Beginning Monday, May 10th, we will be having all students leave their Chromebook/iPad and chargers at school. They will still be allowed to use them in the classroom, they will just not be bringing them home. If the teachers assign homework after this date, it will be paper assignments only for our in person learners. The virtual learners will still have one week of work.
Monday, May 17th we will collect Chromebook/iPads from all students (virtual and in person). Virtual students will be required to turn in their electronic device, charger, books, and all workbooks that they used to complete virtual learning. You will bring all returned items between 2:30 and 3:30 to the gymnasium entrance. You can pull through the circle drive and we will have someone there to collect everything. Keep in mind our buses do not leave the property until 2:15. You will not be able to pull in while buses are lined up. We ask that you have all materials, books, devices, chargers, and cases in a bag and labeled with the child’s name and grade level on it.
FCCLA members in Ms. Adams' AV class entered the national contest sponsored by the National Traffic Safety Board and FCCLA to create a twenty-five second public service announcement about the importance of always wearing seatbelts.
